We return from break to see a slew of OCW officials and producers still struggling to pull DOC and Rust Cohle apart. Numerous officials are attempting to pin Cohle back against a wall as he shouts French expletives in the KANG’s direction.
As the two crowds thin more and more, the ferocity of the two former world champions tearing them back, several wrestlers join in, including Inness Quartz, who springs over to DOC and pulls him aggressively out of the pile to try and calm him down.
Quartz: DOC, this is not worth it. You know that he’s just trying to -
Suddenly, without warning, Quartz is grabbed by his off-shoulder and spun around. Antonio Everrett stands nose to nose with Quartz before putting his hand on his chest to move him back.
Antonio: Get your fookin’ hands off him NOW. Who do you think you are?
Quartz: Look, Tony, you and I both know the road to Lution is rough. I’m trying to make sure your boy doesn’t find himself hurt before London.
DOC: I don’t care if I get hurt, Quartz. I worked hurt before, I’ll do it again you prick!
Quartz: You know this is what he wants right?
He peers back at Rust Cohle, smirking as he looks back at the trio as he’s accompanied down the hall by officials.
Antonio: I would expect these kinds of things out of that wasteman over there. I have nothing left to say to him that hasn’t already been said.
Antonio points over at Rust Cohle, before turning and looking Quartz up and down.
Antonio: You… I don’t trust you, but I can’t say I’m surprised that you’re trying to play the hero all of a sudden. I know you aren’t the person you were a couple months ago, but if you dare put your hands on my brother like that again you better have a good reason for it.
Antonio turns and gets in DOC’s face.
Antonio: … And you. I don’t know what stupid game you’re trying to play right now, but you have done nothing but cause problems for me over the last few weeks. You need to win the CCW Championship from me? Good, but you better start acting like a champion because right now, you’re acting like a child. You think starting fights all over the shop is going to help your case?
DOC doesn’t say anything, but he stands his ground.
Antonio: That’s what I thought.
With that, Antonio adjusts the strap over his shoulder and storms down the hallway as Turmoil moves on.
After their victory against Marisa and Nate Mac, Colin Locke and Ashley Moore are on their way to the locker rooms when Stacy Clark stops them for a backstage interview.
Stacy: Congratulations on your victory. How did you see the match from your perspective?
Colin: That match was just perfect for us, honestly, everything came together really well.
Ashley: The only catch is that I didn’t get the pinfall myself, because the coward had to run away. But I am just glad about the win now.
Stacy: This was the first time you had a match together, it was even your first mixed tag match here at OCW. Did you like working together today?
Ashley: I am not used to competent tag partners lately, so I would take everyone who doesn’t try to murder me. But in this match we were not just a team on the match card.
Colin: Nah, we were working together brilliantly, felt weirdly like we’d teamed up before, but hey, some things just work.
Stacy: The dynamic in particular must have been interesting, with you, Ashley, having issues with Marisa, and, as far as I’m aware, Colin, you haven’t had many run-ins with either one?
Colin: Yeaaaah, I mean, for me, it was like a match is a match right? Biggest thing was having Ashley on board, but I’ll give credit to Nate, guy fought well, but his future wife trying to pull off the distraction just wasn’t enough to save him.
Stacy: So, Ashley, were you nervous about having Colin on board, as he is an outsider in this really personal vendetta between you and Marisa?
Ashley: To be honest, I had no idea how well Colin would perform in the ring, so I just looked at myself. And I was certain that I could take out Marisa even if I had a lame duck on my side.
She hits Colin on his back.
Ashley: Luckily that wasn't the case and I wouldn't mind more mixed tag matches with him if this match type was used more frequently.
As Ashley talks about more matches and clarifies that he is not, in fact a lame duck, a small smile appears on Colin’s face.
Colin: Ashley, I’m glad you said that, it’d definitely be a shame if that was the last time I heard that theme song.
Stacy: In that case, this might not be the last we hear from Hot Storage-
Colin & Ashley: Oh no.
Realisation dawns upon Colin’s face.
Colin: It could’ve been Hot Scoops!
Ashley Or literally anything else.
Stacy: -It’s been great talking to you both, and it’ll be great seeing what the future holds! We may well have seen a preview for Ashley vs Marisa, and we may have seen the start of a new team, but for now, we’ve got to see what the rest of Turmoil holds, I’ll see you all soon!
Colin and Ashley look at each other slightly awkwardly, still haunted by their tag team branding before walking off together as Stacy addresses the audience, segueing into the MAIN EVENT!
