The shot opens in the lobby of Nipsey’s, a tailor shop in the heart of Canarsie. The camera moves through the room, focusing on the patrons of the shop as they browse the stock available in the showroom. The camera shifts to the front door, opening to reveal a masked Telos entering the shop.
Nipsey steps away from a customer, rushing to Telos.
Nipsey: Boy, why would you step in my place of business wearing sweats like you don’t know better? This ain’t a damn gym, take your ass to the back!
Telos, towering over the patrons, silently walks toward a nondescript door. He takes a key out of his pocket, opening the door as Nipsey follows behind him. As they settle in the private room, Nipsey walks over to a cabinet full of glasses and decanters. Telos sits in a leather chair and points to a bottle.
Telos: Gimme the Grand Marnier today. Double it.
As Telos takes the drink, Nipsey looks him over with curiosity.
Nipsey: It was good seeing you get back to business. I would say you were in rare form, but I seen you against veterans so I ain’t too impressed. A win is a win though right?
Nipsey chuckles as he sits across from Telos. Telos stares at him before raising his glass, thinking over his response before answering.
Telos: Thanks for the vote of confidence, Nip. I’m just glad to be back at it. Felt good to shake off that rust. Just ready to keep pushing forward.
Nipsey: Forward, huh? Saw you got Baxter next week. How you feel about that?
Telos’ weight shifts in his seat as he leans forward, his scowl showing from behind the mask.
Telos: I still ain’t forgot what happened at Chaos Theory. That loss falls on me, but its a lot harder to succeed when you literally get someone holding you back. Stopping all momentum.
Telos sets his glass on the table next to him and stands up in the center of the room.
Telos: So yeah, I’m looking ahead, but maybe that means I gotta get my get back. Next Friday might be Bax’s homecoming, but I’m game ready too. Just make sure you got my gear in order.
Nipsey nods as Telos walks past, exiting the room. The cameras fade as the scene ends.
STREET FIGHT
CODY HAGEN vs. K.C. BARRETT
OCW’s favorite interviewer, Stacy Clark, is seen backstage waiting for her prompt to start the highly anticipated Clark Effect. Standing next to Stacy is GOAT Academy’s head trainer, Chance Williams.
Following the events of RIOT 601, Chance does not look amused or happy to be there. The production member gives Stacy a thumbs-up as we go into her intro.
Stacy Clark: Ladies and gentlemen welcome back, I’m your host Stacy Clark and welcome, to the Clark Effect! My guest this evening is none other than Chance Williams, Chance thank you for being here. We all saw last week the games Aleksander played against you and Bobbi-
Chance cuts Stacy off as he grabs the microphone from her and shoos her out of the frame.
Chance: Stacy I’m sorry but not right now. I don’t have time for your journalistic games nor do I have time for the games that Aleksander wants to try and play.
Chance:
Listen, Aleksander, if you think this sort of stuff is acceptable? You’re wrong. You wanna be a villain?
Chance:
You wanna sell your soul to the devil? Maybe you should’ve chosen someone else to make your victim because that isn’t me.
Chance: I get sneak attacking me, bad-mouthing me, screaming and pissing and moaning like a toddler who can’t get their favorite toy at the store.
Chance:
Cool, you wanna come after me? So be it. But you wanna bring Bobbi into this? You wanna try and act like some big shot who messes around with women and kidnaps them?
Chance:
Who do you think you are? John Carter?
Chance starts pacing around in view as the veins on his head start popping out more with each passing second.
Chance: You got it! You got what you wanted! You got the rematch Aleksander, you got what you were so desperate for. Now the real question is can you do it?
Chance:
Can you do what you set out for? Beat me, can you make that happen? I’ve been a desperate man before who wanted to win SO badly and so DESPERATELY that I thought I had what it took.
Chance: But do you wanna know what happened? I missed the kill shot, the game-winning bucket, and the buzzer-beater, I missed my opportunity.
Chance:
Then? Then I remember waking up from the mat as KC Barrett had his hand raised and I watched as the man who tormented me for months got away with it all.
Chance stops in his tracks as his head snaps into center view of the camera with a fire in his eyes. Practically yelling into the microphone as the games and mental warfare with Aleksander started to take their toll.
Chance: NOT AGAIN! Not again, no I can’t, I can’t let someone like you someone who is so desperate they respond in such bitch made behaviors they wanna drag an innocent woman into it!
Chance:
No-no-no-no, Aleksander, do you hear me!? You wanted to take it a step up? Take it to the next level? Fine.
Chance: Next week. RIOT 602, you get what you’ve desired. You get your rematch against me, you get to right the supposed wrong that happened to you.
Chance:
But Aleksander, this time? This won’t just be a normal wrestling match. Nah big dog, this time since you wanna act with no rules, no regulations, no concern for wellbeing then I’ll oblige even more. At RIOT 602, Chance Williams vs. Aleksander Bolek II…
The camera zooms in on Chance’s face
Chance: IN A STREET FIGHT. Let it be known Aleksander… when this is all said and done?
Chance:
I won’t make the mistakes I made with KC, I won’t make the mistakes I’ve made in the past, I put it all on the table and I finish this story once and for all.
Chance: Time is running out Aleksander. Tick tock, tick tock.
Chance drops the microphone as he exits the view of the cameras and we cut to commercial moving forward.
