We return to Empire Steakhouse, where we find Derek Smith and his new acquaintance Cammy A., Having dinner together. Derek is having the Empire Burger and Camille is having Surf & Turf with a baked potato.
Camille: Okay, so I know I have been going on and on about myself for what an hour now? Sorry, I’m just really passionate about my work. I think it’s your turn now. Tell me about yourself. What are you like outside of the ring?
Derek stops taking a sip of his drink for a second and sets it down.
Derek: Uh I guess I can say I'm probably the exact same. All I do now is train and try to get back to where I was.
Camille: So, you know, I really don't get why you are training so hard. You're literally one of the strongest people on the roster!
Derek: I just feel that I’m not at the peak I could be. After losing my title and being gone for a grip, I gotta show people that I’m not some joke.
Derek: I’ve been on my own ass making sure I have been constantly working so I can come back better. Because people are gonna recognize a lot has changed about me. The 1st match already went well now, I gotta bulldoze everyone else who wants to step up.
Derek pauses as he realizes people are staring at him and he almost causes a slight scene.
Derek: My bad I ain’t never been in a place where it’s not loud and you can hear everyone's conversation.
Camille starts giggling a little before she takes a sip of her drink.
Camille: So, you know, I never really see you talk about your family a lot, plus I never have seen any of them backstage. Are they in your life at all?
Derek: Not a topic I'm too fond to talk about. It’s a lot of heavy trauma and things in that area I don’t feel like going into right now.
Camille reacts with a look of slight shock, which shifts to one of worry.
Camille: Oh, umm… I'm sorry, I didn't know it hurt you like that.
Derek: Nah you good you didn’t know. But let's just finish eating cause this burger is hitting right now.
[After they finish their food, Derek picks up his phone as it starts vibrating on the table.
Derek: It’s Chance they need me at the Academy late night Junior training session. I appreciate you for offering to pay and take me out.
Camille: Aww, and I was having so much fun! Well, hopefully there's a next time Derek, I'd love to do this again! Train hard!
Camille gets up and tries to hug Derek but he daps her up instead.
Derek: Ight you be smooth see you around.
Derek leaves the restaurant as the check come right as he walks out the door.
Waitress: Here's your check ma'am, totaling out to $1,768.23. Would you like to leave a tip?
Camille: You know, I wasn't going to, but… Just kidding. $20 for you on the records, and…
Camille pulls out a $50 bill.
Camille: Just for you on the hush-hush. I hate how people tax tips.
Waitress: Well I really appreciate that, I really do. Now, forgive me for asking, was that Derek Smith, from OCW?
Camille: Yeah, that was! I finally got a date out of him, after a month of trying!
Waitress: Okay, and now that I made the connection, and with that last name, aren't you from that family?
Camille: Yep, that's me! Camille Conti-Sanderson!
Waitress: And your sister is…
Camille: Yeah, Alyssa Marceaux. Are you familiar with her?
Waitress: Too familiar. I don't get how you're so nice and your family is so…
Camille: Mean spirited? Self centered? I've heard that my whole life. This is why I don't use my last name online, I can't have people having the wrong impression of me.
Waitress: You should've seen what your sister did to me last time she was here…
