Ring Announcer: Here is your winner, Paul Pu……
Pugh rushes over to the announcer and moves the mic away from him. He begins to say something in his ear. The announcer gives Pugh a bit of a screw face as Pugh steps away from him.The announcer seems reluctant to announce Paul Pugh as the winner.
Pugh (Screaming at the announcer): DO IT!!!!!
Announcer (In a very dry tone): (Sigh) Here is your winner, YOUR Champion, Paul Pugh.
Pugh begins the strut around the ring with the OCW title held high above his head. Boos rain in from the OCW Universe. Pugh begins to hit each corner of the ring. Each time he climbs to the second rope.Every time the chorus of boos gets louder and louder.
He gets to the corner closest to the hard camera and entrance way. Just as he was coming down from the turnbuckle, you hear what sounds like an old church bell toll and the lights cut out.
The Universe begins to stir. The bell tolls once again. You can faintly see Pugh back up to the center of the ring. Bell tolls. He lays his title out in front of him and stands in the ready position staring at the entrance way.
Bell tolls. Then the X-Tron flickers on and a camera is staked out in a tunnel that leads out to the parking lot.Off in the distance, you see two figures, a man and a woman, making their way into the arena.
By the looks of things, the woman doesn’t want the man to enter the building. The man is not heeding her warnings.
Back in the ring, Pugh is looking a little puzzled as he and the rest of the viewing audience hasn’t figured out who the two people are. Back out to the parking lot area, the camera zooms in and gets a good look at Lacy trying to halt Dimsmore as he is storming into the arena.
Lacy: Dimmy, please.
Dimsmore fights past Lacy’s extended arms. She gathers herself back in front of him.
Lacy: You heard what the doctor said. You haven’t been cleared to wrestle yet.
Her words seem to fall on deaf ears as Dimsmore’s pace quickens. Lacy, as a last resort, yanks forcibly on Dimsmore’s arm. He finally stops and faces her. Behind him is the gorilla position.
Lacy: Dimmy, you can’t go out there with Pugh. The last thing you want to have now is a setback in your recovery. And with your condition, it’s not safe. So please Dimmy, for me, let’s go back to the car, head to the hotel and rest so we can head to the docs and get everything set for The Clash.
Dimsmore stares at Lacy for what seems like an eternity. Dimsmore removes the hood and sunglasses from his head. He places the arm of the sunglasses in Lacy’s cleavage. Dimsmore takes a deep breath.
Dimsmore: Stay here.
Dimsmore turns away from Lacy and heads to the ring. The Universe erupts as the house lights come back on. Pugh has a very ominous smirk on his face. “Give Yourself to Me” by Black Label Society blares and when the words start, Dimsmore appears at the top of the ramp.
Pugh becomes very animated and by his actions, he is begging Dimsmore to enter the ring. Pugh would love nothing more than to take out Dimsmore for good before The Clash.
Dimsmore slowly begins to walk to the ring. Pugh is motioning rapidly with his hands telling Dimsmore to “Bring it!!” Pugh even sits on the second rope inviting Dimsmore in the ring before he gets to ring side.
When Dimsmore is ring side, Pugh retreats to the other half of the ring. Dimsmore rolls under the bottom rope and rises to his feet. The arena is electric.
Dimsmore remains about 10-15 feet away from Pugh. But has not taken his eyes off of him. Pugh snatches his title off of the ground and holds it right next to his face.
You can see Pugh mouth the words “You want this? HUH??” repeatedly. Dimsmore is not vocal at all. Pugh lays the title back down, almost daring Dimsmore to cross the line. With every step closer to Pugh and the OCW Title, the aggression on Dimsmore’s face seems to rise. There’s face to face now. Pugh is taunting and daring Dimsmore to hit him.
Pugh (Screaming): HIT ME DIMMY!! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!! WHERE’S THAT ANGER??? HUH??? WHERE’S THAT FIRE??? HUH?? YOU DON’T WANT TO WAIT FOR SUNDAY!! DO IT NOW!! IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE WORLD!!! COME ON!!! I F(beep)IN’ DARE YA!!!
Dimsmore is figuratively foaming at the mouth now. But something seems to be keeping him from destroying Pugh right in the center of the ring. Dimsmore lets out a yell in Pugh’s face but doesn’t touch him.
Dimsmore beings to turn and walk away. Behind him, Pugh picks up the title and rushes to hit Dimsmore. Dimsmore sees Pugh coming on the X-Tron and he ducks.
Pugh’s momentum carries him to bounce and return off the ropes. Dimsmore catches him with From Lacy w/ Love right across the jaw.
Pugh falls in a heap clutching his jaw. He lands right flat on his back and before he realizes it Dimsmore tries to get some more licks in. But Pugh manages to cover himself from the barrage and scurries out of the ring with Title in hand.
Dimsmore gets to his feet and lets out a primal scream as he rips his hoodie off of him and tosses it at Pugh, who is in full retreat back up the aisle.
Dimsmore begins to hold his head as he’s motioning to Pugh to come back to the ring. Dimsmore then has a very blank look on his face as he stumbles to the center of the ring. He drops to one knee still holding his head.
Just as he’s trying to shake the cobwebs out, he crumbles and is laid out in the ring. A noticeable hush falls over the crowd.
As Pugh walks back thru the curtain, a group of people come storming out from the side of the staging area. Lacy leads the way, followed by Tibby, Madeline and a few OCW officials and doctors.
They all enter the ring and begin to tend to the now unconscious Dimsmore. Lacy looks the most concerned as she can’t hold back the tears. Madeline comforts Lacy as Tibby motions to the back for them to send a stretcher out. The scene fades.
