The Camera Pans To The Ramp!

Our ‘Humble’ Hero waited for several minutes until the booing directed at him died down. They didn’t stop completely, and he couldn’t just stand there all night.

Dennis: Now, I know you’re all excited to see me. But ladies and gentleman, I need both your patience and silence. For tonight is going to be a turning point for a young man, who much like myself, is the future of this company.

Dennis: Let’s give a warm round of applause for the Father of Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarvey! I don’t know his name, it doesn’t matter. So we’ll call him Dad20!

Dennis points to the camera: And if his entrance name is anything other than ‘Dad20’ I will come back there and super-kick all of you, like nine times!

Dennis takes a few steps back, keeping a relatively safe distance from the Father of his potential opponent. He’s given a mic from a ref at ringside.

Dennis: You’re pretty spry for an old guy. I can see where Harvey gets it from. So, Dad. Tell us about yourself. Military? Former football player? Soccer? Construction? I mean....something bad had to have happened to cause a head injury. That is literally the only reason anyone would willingly step in a ring with me.

Dad20: I'm a lumberjack. I cut down big trees like Redwoods.

Dad2O walks over towards Dennis and stares him down.

Dad2O: I also can cut down small trees. But there's no money in cutting Christmas Trees.

Dennis: I’m feeling a bit of tension here. I’d recommend Heather for that kind of thing. She gives the best shoulder rubs! Or so i’ve heard.

Dad20 takes a few steps forward while Dennis takes many steps back. Our humble hero continued to back away until he was tangled in the ropes. The camera pans to Heather walking on stage, she stops at the bottom of the ramp when Dennis gives her the single he's alright.

Dennis: So hostile! Doesn’t anyone in this company have a sense of humor?

The father was clearly uninterested in games. He Flexed for good measure and returned to the center of the ring. Dennis smooths the wrinkles in his jacket before stepping out from behind the ropes.

Dad20: Get on with it.

Dennis: Straight to business, I see. Very well. Harvey feels a certain kind of way about me. He's vowed to end the plague. But far too often, we see challengers walk in with everything to gain and nothing to lose. And that, my friend, is annoying.

Dennis: When I became a World Champion, I brought something with me. Something that I was willing to lose. Because I believe in the spirit of competition.

Dennis: Being a champion is about sacrifice, Dad20. And that's why we’re here. To see what your family is willing to sacrifice so that your son can challenge for the most important Championship on Riot.

Dennis takes a few steps closer to Dad20.

Dennis: Swallow your pride. These people want to hear it, that I define this generation. Tell these people that you wish your son was more like me. Hell, Heather already has.

Dad20 glares at Dennis.

Dennis: And remember...if Harvey comes down here and puts his hands on me, the opportunity is lost.

Dad20: You think my son cares about what that tramp feels about you? She was poison to him the moment she recruited him from my home.

Dad20: I'm here now because The Oceans are not cowards. You're a manipulative twerp. You will face your darkest day the moment my son walks into this ring with you.

Dennis: Well then...

The crowd is furious at the actions of Dennis Black. Dad20 begins to stir, attempting to push himself off the mat. Dennis’s eyes widen.

Dennis: Now THAT is a fighter! Congratulations! In a matter of seconds, you've already proven to have more grit than half of this company. Sensation! Hire this man!

Dennis claps for Dad20, who is still struggling to get back up. H20 charges from backstage but stops in his tracks when heather Blocks him. Her arms were wide open. Dennis looks to the drama at the ramp and smiles.

Dennis: Well this is interesting. Will you knock out your beloved and save your dad, sacrificing your chance at me?

H2O: Heather, I knew you were a bitch. But seriously.

Heather: Bitches get things done around here. Seeing though you've got NOTHING done since you've been here. What does that make you?

Dad20: Son, listen to me. As awful as she is don't do anything to her. I've raised you better than that. She's trying to make you hit her. All of this will be in vain if you do. This has to be done for you my son.

Dennis rolls his eyes at the family moment.

Dennis: I believe we’ve helped H20 turn a corner, ladies and gentleman. That’s why he’s getting a shot at the only important Championship on Riot. That feeling, Harvey.

Dennis: That feeling in the pit of your stomach? That's what despair feels like. Wanting to do the right thing, knowing that you can't get here fast enough to save him from a bullet to his temple. But you'll try anyway...blood is thicker than water, after all.
