Mugen’s hired cameraman is seen running around the hallways constantly looking back to see if the TTTleks have found him or not. Out of nowhere, a door opens and a hand sticks out to grab the cameraman by his jacket and he is pulled into a room.
We find ourselves on the other side of the door to reveal none other than our OCW World Champion, The Lord of the Lariat, the Suplex Savior, the King of Kindness himself, Mugen with a grin on his face.
Mugen: Saved ya out there didn’t I?
Cameraman: Oh jeez, thanks boss.
Mugen: Hey hey hey, no problem buddy. After all that’s the kind of person I am. The King of Kindness.
The camerman, still panting from his escape from the TTTleks hands Mugen over a plastic case with several SD cards in it. Mugen delightfully takes the footage and places it in his jacket pocket.
Camerman: That’s all I got.
Mugen: That should be fine. I appreciate the kind work sir. I shall review the footage at my next free moment and let you know if I need you again.
Mugen motions for the cameraman towards the door as he sits down on the floor in a meditative pose.
Camerman: But….the Trashleks…..
Mugen: I assure you, they will not find you, you will be fine. But please, be off as I must meditate prior to my match with Dimsmore tonight.
The cameraman reluctantly moves over to the door and opens it. He peers around the corners to see that the coast is clear. He takes a few steps out and turns the corner but as he does…………………………..
TTTleks: Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…...Camerman……VIO-LATE
We see the TTTleks with Kassidy right behind them pointing at the camerman. The scene fades out as the fleeing cameraman starts running for his life.
The camera pans to the announce team.
Not again!
Ooooof!
The Camera Pans To The Back!
*Sanctuary come rushing into the room as they hear the referee shouting for them*
Crowe: God dammit! I told you someone was messing with us, when I find out who it is, they are going to regret it.
Bones is standing in the doorway looking very sheepish, he points to something on the floor next to Vincent.
Crowe: This crap again...
He picks up the piece of paper with the black spot on it, and furiously screws it up and tosses it away.
Crowe: Enough of this superstitious bullshit...someone is going to pay for this.
He jumps to his feet and barges past Bones as he enters the hallway and angrily walks off down the corridor.
Bones looks down at Winters.
Bones: .../sigh.....tets!
The camera pans to the announce team.
WHAT!
The what!
Mugen vs Dimsmore
The camera pans to the announce team.
GOD DAMN!!
Indeed!
The scene opens with The Royal Family laying in bed after an exhausting evening of Dennis trying to go over. Our victorious and humble hero was fast asleep while Madison remained awake, swiping away at her iPad screen.
Breaking news! Another OCW board member has resigned from the company. Her plans were slowly coming to fruition.
This could actually happen, she thought. She could become the COO of OCW one day. Maybe even the CEO. Of course, she needed to monopolize the board before that could happen. But it all seemed so plausible now.
The war that was brewing between her and the ever so urban powers that be hadn't even begun to get ugly. She knew many casualties of war were ahead. Sensation and Ortiz would not die without a fight.
But she was certain they would, one day. She and Dennis are unstoppable in their crusade for a fair and just OCW, and she'll do anything to ensure that they'll be the leading forces of the company.
Reading about someone’s misery always made her happy. With a smile on her face, she turned off her iPad and tried to sleep. But a knock from downstairs would put an end to that.
Figuring it was more Jehovah's Witnesses or depressed New York Giants fans (both equally annoying), she quickly put on her dotted robe and marched down the stairs to dispatch the unwanted guest. To her surprise, it was neither. Standing before her was Troy Smith.
Madison tightened up the top of her robe and folded her arms.
Madison: You're persistent, I'll give you that.
Troy Smith: May I come in?
Madison: For what reason? Dennis already told you that we weren't interested in your services.
Troy Smith: This benefactor of yours has driven off half of my already small client base so I can focus on you. I've been paid to help you. I ‘need’ to make this happen. If these people can get rid of my clientele, imagine what will happen to me if I don't help you?
Madison: Fair point. You're highly motivated. These aren't the kind of people that accept failure so graciously. Even still...your predicament is not my concern. Byyyeeee!
Madison goes to close the door, but is stopped when Troy places his foot in the doorway. Her eyes narrow at her.
Troy Smith: Your court date is in a few weeks. You're obviously a very busty-
Madison: WHAT?!
Troy Smith:Busy person! I can dedicate my time to making this accusation from the Anniversary show go away. Please...all I'm asking for is an opportunity.
Madison ran a hand through her hair, looking the man over.
Madison: Interesting. You're not as useless as you look, Troy. Looks can be deceiving, it's how I got where I am. People see the pretty face and the chest and assume I'm just...basic or a whore like Flojo. But Dennis wouldn't be where he is without me. Without my mind.
Madison points at the side of her head.
Madison: Behind every strong black man is an even stronger white woman, Troy.
Madison: When all is said and done, The Black King will be a victorious hero in the war on OCW’s corruption and nepotism or he’ll be a Martyr. Either way, Dennis Black will be a vessel that sparked change. Change that OCW is desperately in need of.
Troy Smith: I-
Madison: For over a decade, Sensation has programmed their fans on who to like. Who to hate. Who to cheer for and who to boo.
Madison: OCW’s claim to fame is being a bastion of competition. But in truth...men with jeans hanging off their backsides, empty mad dog twenty twenty liquor bottles, and cheap cigars used to roll weed orchestrate happenings. These urbanites pull strings behind the scenes to cement certain men at the top.
Madison: Being at the top of OCW is not about skill, Mr. Smith. You merely only need to walk a certain line and wait your turn. Wait for the scraps old men…
Madison: Those who resist and wish to ascend based on skill and their own merit are labeled as ‘entitled’. This programming,...this brainwashing only creates false hope.
Madison: That false hope creates a barrier, and that barrier has created two types of people in OCW, both in and out of the ring. Boundaries that make the worst kind of men more power hungry, arrogant, and biased in their decision making day by day. Sensation, Ortiz, and Tiffany fall in that category.
Madison takes a step closer to Troy.
Madison: Then there are the second group of people in this company. Those who know things will never go their way unless they walk that line and play nice. Men and women devoid of ambition, pride, and fire.
Madison: Those who are content with taking scraps when part timers are bored around the time Lution season ends. They eat those scraps with a smile on their face as they take orders from the first group of arrogant people.
Madison: The H20, Baker, Montgomery, and Bill Dings of the world. This awful way of being programmed is how our current Paper OCW Champion came to be.
Madison: With that said, you have your shot. Not because I have faith in you, but because you want to ‘earn’ something. The misunderstanding I had with the police is taken of.
Madison: But there is something else you can help me with. Something that needs to be handled with discretion. I need you to catch a flight to Vegas.
Troy: Vegas?!
Madison: Yes, Vegas. When you get there, contact me and only me. Not Dennis, do we have an understanding?
Troy nods enthusiastically, turns from Madison, and descends the stairs that lead to the front door of her apartment.
Madison: Oh, and Troy?
Troy looks up at Madison once he reaches the bottom of the stairs.
Madison: Do you know why we call it the ‘Black Bullet’?
Troy Smith shakes his head.
Madison: A bullet to the brain, more often than not, will put a person away. If a person’s life is instantly taken, they are robbed of an explanation. That person has no time to process their final moment. There’s no closure before the end.
Madison: So I make Dennis take his time with opponents, exhausting them. Now, even though those men are weakened, their minds are still able to understand. Still able to process that their time in the ring with Dennis is coming to an end.
Madison: We let the dreams and aspirations of our rivals die with answers and dignity. Otherwise, Dennis and I would be nothing more than careless murderers.
Troy swallows and slowly starts to turn away.
Madison: One more thing.
Troy Smith: I'm listening...
Madison: Dennis and I know our worth. We know our worth in a sea of men and women in this company that don't know their own, and that is why Sensation hates us. So Troy, I would not allow you to join my cause if I didn't see value in you.
Troy: I appreciate-
Madison: But seeing value in you does not mean that you are above a Black Bullet if you fail us. You should be on your way. I would hate for him to wake up and see me speaking to another man. I'm not sure who get more of his wrath between the two of us.
Madison slowly closes the door before turning off the lights.
Outside the home, Troy stands there speechless and aggravated, wondering what he just got himself into. His iPhone starts ringing. Troy pulls it from his pocket and glances at the caller ID shaking his head. -S. Simsin.
Troy Smith: “Persistent”.
He presses the ignore button, gets into his car, and drives off as the camera fades to black.
