Ladies and Gentleman we are back on the scene! With RIOT 619!!
We are back JACK!
We’re backstage in the locker rooms with Devon Flash as he’s preparing for his match later on against Antonio Everett. The camera zooms in on Flash in the middle of a set burpees when there’s a knock on the door. Devon gets up and invites the person in, who is revealed to be the other half of Mass Effect, RyVaughn. Devon gets up and shakes hands with RyVaughn before giving him a massive hug.
Devon: My man! You don’t know how good it is to see you. I hope after that birthday gift I got you, all is forgiven over that missed call. I just was ultra focused on making sure I rep the most massive brand in OCW properly with a victory.
Ry: Aye man no words needed, that new Rollie said everything it needed to say. You need me to back you tonight against Everett? I’m kind of hoping that Money is ringside.
Devon: I actually was going to take on Antonio, solo tonight. I don’t think I’ll need any help proving the New Deal is nothing but a new gate for me to hurdle.
Devon turns on the tv in the locker room and he hears comms shifting gears into the opening match. Grit and Glory vs DNS. RyVaughn grabs his arm and begins to grit his teeth, as he begins to get reminded of the brutal loss from ODG.
Ry: It feels like we ended up on the wrong side of the OCW multiverse. How did Bobbi’s bitches walk out of ODG the new tag team champs. I almost had them for us!
Devon gives Ry a clap on the shoulder
Devon: Brother I feel you. We were so close and yet here we are again waiting for the future of the belts to be decided by a quartet of bozos.
Devon heads to a mini fridge in the locker room stocked with Muscle Juice and pulls out a bottle of the controversial drink.
Devon: The only thing that eases the pain is the sweet taste of Mass Effect’s Blue Razz Muscle Juice, which is now available in all grocery stores in the tri-state area.
Ry: Hell Naw, I think I know another way to help with our pain.
Ryvaughn heads to the locker room door and opens it aggressively then walks out with each step carrying his fury.
Ry: Let’s roll and bring that Blue Razz, I haven’t tried it yet.
Devon watches as Ry leaves the room while G&G’s music hits. He begins looking back from the TV and the open door Ry walks out of before he sighs and follows after RyVaughn.
Devon: Ry?
No answer
Devon: Ry, what do you have planned?
No answer again
Devon: You can’t just tell me wanna beat up Grit and Glory!?
Devon smiles and shakes his head before trying to catch up to RyVaughn as the scene fades.
OCW UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
DNS vs. GRIT & GLORY*
We cut to a pre-recorded video from earlier today, just outside the arena, fans are gathered to see their favorite stars before the show begins.
Behind a gate walks one of OCW’s newest signings, LARIETTE! The crowd of young fans give her a warm welcome, surprisingly warm for a brand new star arriving.
LARIETTE steps forward and nods to the children, signing a few adorable drawings of butterflies donning her moniker. She blows a few kisses to the remaining fans and enters the building, smiling throughout ahead of her debut tonight on RIOT.
As she enters the arena, her smile fades slightly and she stops in her tracks. The camera follows her line of sight to see OCW’s Kaiju… Sue Plex. Sue stares back at the rookie with sharp eyes for a few moments. LARIETTE nervously nods her head to greet her new co-worker.
LARIETTE: I saw your match last week. I thought you did a great job.
Sue Plex: …
LARIETTE places her back on the ground and extends her right hand, holding the other behind her back as she smiles.
LARIETTE: Nice to finally meet you, Sue Plex.
Sue looks down at the hand, but does not extend her own. She looks back up at LARIETTE’s eyes, almost analyzing them. After a few awkward seconds, she smiles back at LARIETTE before continuing down the hall.
LARIETTE slowly drops her hand and smiles as she lifts her bag back up watching Sue as she walks further and further away. She finally turns and laughs at the camera before shaking her head and making her way to the locker room area.
