Previously recorded: Nate Ortiz sits behind his desk in the OCW offices. The International Championship sits on his desk. Next to it is the golden letter he received from Tiberius Dupree.
Nate: You know, the thing about looking back at history is that as you look back, the records on the walls remain, but the impact goes away.
Nate: What are you talking about? As a man who’s had three Hall of Fame careers in one, I’ve seen it, and I’m living it right now.
Nate: Names like Versus, RD Money, and Kage were mainstays and now they are names on a list.
Nate: Cody Storm, Sean McGee, Leonheart? Cerberus who?
Nate: Now names like Quartz, El Primero, and my mom, the CCW Champion Emp, sit on that mountain plateau now.
Nate: You could call it a wheel of time, and the spokes get changed out every 3 or 4 years.
Nate: There are a few guys who’ve also been here across these eras, your Trances or Pughs. They are great. Their spokes are welded to the wheel.
Nate looks at the golden letter and angrily speaks.
Nate: Tiberius Dupree is welded to the wheel.
Nate: But, this is your reminder that I am the damn wheel. I’m OCW’s bedrock, I am the damn mountain that everyone is trying to climb.
Nate: As great as you think you are, no matter what you accomplish, what goals you have to move, I have been better. 20 damn years, what you think I’ve done I’ve done more.
Nate: Tiberius the fact that you can’t just tell me who I’m fighting and when is a joke. You better keep yourself on the sidelines because I would end you for this disrespect. But whoever it is, know that this base of the wheel, that is OCW, is going to roll over your ass.
