Standing backstage at Turmoil 233, OCW interviewer Jim Black smiles into the camera and introduces the OCW universe to his next guest.
Jim Black: Welcome to Turmoil, OCW! I'd like you to welcome my next guest...
Before Jim can continue, the camera zooms out to see The Man Called Joopiter standing over him, very uncomfortably close.
Jim tries to step away, but The Man Called Joopiter, not even muscling a blink through his black face-paint, just seems to scoot closer.
Jim, creeped out, just continues.
Jim Black: Er, my next guest tonight. The Man Called Joopiter.
Jim Black: I think a lot of people in the crowd want to know why you went crazy and attacked Loki and Akita last week...
He holds the mic up to TMCJ, who just continues staring down at him with a murderous blank expression. Jim looks off to the side, presumably to a production assistant and shrugs.
As he's looking away, The Man Called Joopiter slowly raises his hand up and gently places it over Jim's, startling him. He looks down at TMCJ's hand over his and looks back up to the Pretoria native, who still hasn't moved his gaze.
Jim slides his hand out of TMCJ's and the grip guard lands on TMCJ's cupped hand. Finally, he blinks and turns to the camera. He speaks soft, but firm.
TMCJ: Mark Reese.
TMCJ: The disrespect you displayed towards me at Wrestlution will not be unchecked. It is emblematic of the very same negligence, ignorance and destructive behavior all of these people display every single day. The very thing I was attempting to warn them about before you decided to show up.
TMCJ: These fools chant your name. They chant for "slams". They chant for life's simple comfortabilities. They cheer because they do not have to think. This is why this world is so poisoned. People like you, Mark Reese.
TMCJ: You proved my point exactly. I told you at Wrestlution I would get my revenge. When I was denied that opportunity? When I was instead given another symptom of a universal problem... "Loki"...? I decided to make a point.
Jim Black, seemingly thinking he's been yet-again hijacked during his own segment, tries to step away. The Man Called Joopiter instinctively snatches his off-hand out, grabbing Jim by his suit jacket. He closes his eyes and looks over to Jim.
TMCJ: ...I was not finished.
TMCJ: Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you, Jim... Just stay here.
Jim looks off screen again, more disturbed out than concerned.
TMCJ: I did not spend the last 6 years of my life spilling blood and training for this moment so that I could allow the people in these seats to continue to simply turn off their brain and consume people like you and Loki.
TMCJ: Simpletons like you... Like Loki... Like Akita. They are nothing more but OCW's enemy of thought. Despite whatever skill you may have as a fighter... The way you choose to showcase those skills is dangerous to the same people you adore.
TMCJ runs his hand through his hair aggressively, holding one side tight, in a ball..
TMCJ: The Moons of Jupiter have sent me as the vessel to make an example out of you to show these people that there is more than catchy tunes and one-liners.
TMCJ: ...and that is exactly what I intend to do... I hope you enjoy your time outside of Zero Gravity, Mark Reese, because it will be coming to an unfortunate end soon. You will be a martyr for the greater good.
TMCJ lowers the microphone and the camera slowly zooms out from his face. Jim is still standing awkwardly close to TMCJ, per his instructions. The Man Called Joopiter slowly stands straight up and turns to Jim once again staring down at him with the same blank, emotionless face.
He holds up the microphone and Jim reluctantly takes it, expecting to be hit, but just gently takes it from TMCJ.
Jim Black: Er, well... That was certainly interesting. Than-
As he looks back to The Man Called Joopiter, he says nothing and starts walking down the hall.
We come back from a short commercial break to find the Slambitious Mark Reese pacing frantically at the gorilla position. Every now and again his fists clench as he shakes his arms out, loosening up before his impending match with Justin Jehst.
Reese: Now don't get me wrong, I'm not the type of guy to forget about the task at hand but sometimes your hands are gonna get cut up and oily from fixing the wagon. Joopiter, you're on my mind but not because I want to be your friend.
Reese shakes his head.
Reese: You're a bully, and I don't like bullies. You're going around here criticisin’ the fans, making fun of the lil guys. You're just straight up not a nice person. That's exactly why I'm not standin’ for it. This is America, the land of the free… The home of the brave!
Reese visibly becomes more fired up as we see Jehst disappearing through the curtain in the background.
Reese: And if you wanna change that, well you'll find out that I'm all about throwin’ hands and eatin’ hams!
He glances towards the curtain and cracks a smile.
Reese: Now if you'll be so kind to excuse me OCW, Mr Jehst and I have a barn to build.
Justin Jehst vs Mark Reese
The camera switches to a carpeted room with two armchairs, occupied by Judge Leroy Brown III and Jim Black. In the background, a flash umbrella and cameras with cameramen from various news stations litter the room.
Brown and Black are chatting before a woman in a pantsuit comes from off-screen and whispers something to Black.
Woman in a Pantsuit: Ok everyone, we're about to get started! Take your places!
The woman walks off-screen as the cameramen scramble to prepare their shots.
Woman in a Pantsuit: Ok, here we go! Three, two, one...
The camera zooms in on Jim Black.
Jim Black: Good evening. My name is Jim Black, and I am the lead interviewer for Online Championship Wrestling. My guest tonight is OCW's latest signee, Leroy Brown III. How are you tonight, Mr. Brown?
Judge Leroy Brown III: Please, you can call me Leroy. And I'm doing very well for the first time in a while actually, considering my recent circumstances.
Jim Black: Good to hear it, Leroy. Well, I'm sure you've been through enough questioning about your charges so let's focus on something else. When you first got to prison, it was rumored that one of your first phone calls was to OCW. Is that true, and if so, why is that?
Judge Leroy Brown III: I can in-fact confirm that OCW was one of my first phone calls in prison, after family of course. Why? Well, it's pretty obvious that I won't be headed back to former employer any time soon. And OCW looked like a perfect start for my post-legal career.
Jim Black: And why's that?
Judge Leroy Brown III: You know why I got into law, Mr. Black? Justice. Justice, Mr. Black, is why I got into law. After I got charged with assaulting that defendant, everyone told me that what I did was unjust. That my actions were a disgrace to the justice system. I wholeheartedly disagree. In a courtroom, you can hide behind deep pockets and lawyers with decades of experience twisting the truth to fit their narrative. That's exactly what that defendant did, and for that, I gave him what the "justice" system failed to give him, justice.
Professional wrestling is the purest form of justice. You can't run and hide forever because one day, you'll get yours. That's why I'm here.
Jim Black: Certainly a convincing answer. How's your training going in the OCW Performance Center?
Judge Leroy Brown III: Pretty well. I did a little bit of amateur wrestling in high school so that's been a big help with some concepts. But otherwise, I think I'll be ready to go soon.
Jim Black: I'm sure the world is ready to see Leroy Brown III in an OCW ring.
Judge Leroy Brown III: Hopefully, ha.
Jim Black: Well, that's all the time we have for tonight. Be sure to join us on Monday night for RIOT, and in late-July for the Consequence PPV. Thank you for joining us, and have a good night!
