Butterflies flap around playfully near an outdoor dining area. Happy families and couples find themselves eating in the bright sunlight. They laugh and they smile at one another.
A petite woman smiles at her partner at takes a bite of her cheeseburger. The camera zooms into the choose oozing out of the burger onto the styrofoam shell below. A man walks in front of the shell, causing the camera to zoom out.
Standing with his hands behind his back, The Man Called Joopiter calmly ties his hair back, the camera focusing on his t-shirt, which dons a classical smiley face with the eyes crudely crossed out.
TMCJ: Yet another day.
The people in the background don't seem to notice The Man Called Joopiter as he speaks to the OCW Universe.
TMCJ: Yet another example of the disgusting acts of the men and women who grace this planet with me.
He turns to look at the patrons sloppily eating their meals. He winces and shakes his head. The camera cuts to the side of The Man Called Joopiter to see a small child picking something from the leaves of nearby brush.
He brings the child close and holds a piece of lettuce out in front of him. The child ignores the food and stares to the juicy burgers that are being devoured by those in the background.
TMCJ: You see? This is life. This is what you people are. While your brothers and sisters suffer on the sidewalks, you choose to stuff your faces with artificial flavors and unnatural foods.
TMCJ: You are the problem. You set the standard of normality that cannot be achieved by everyone in this world. You are the reason there is suffering in this world.
TMCJ: Why?
The Man Called Joopiter walks 10 steps to the left to a seemingly brand-new scene.
There is loud, beautiful music being played just offscreen. There is a bouncer front and center, taking payment and allowing people through. Just as The Man Called Joopiter arrives, a down-trodden family arrives, silently pleading their case to the bouncer. They are violently tossed to the side.
The Man Called Joopiter stares down at them with an expressionless face and shakes his head.
TMCJ: Because in your world... Nothing has value unless it was born in a position of power. Unless it was born into a position of a standard of normality that your society has arbitrarily set.
He lifts the family to their feet, one at a time. He stares down at them with sad eyes as they walk away, tears in their eyes.
TMCJ: This is the world you continue to build, Mark Reese.
TMCJ: I've said it before, I will say it again...
TMCJ: You are not to blame for this. You are merely a byproduct of a broken society.
TMCJ: Stay vigilant. The people need to know. The people need to wake up. That is why I was sent to this... place.
The background settles down and The Man Called Joopiter walks front and center to the camera. He kneels down to finalize his statements.
TMCJ: It may take a while, you know.
TMCJ: The people... The ones that run this place. They ignore me because I'm not one of them. I'm not one of the ones who decides to fit in.
TMCJ: But eventually, they will see that the people need to understand. When that day comes, you will be the first of many examples.
TMCJ: Your only hope is to hide behind arbitrary "management". Your only hope is that I never get the opportunity to show the world why people like you should be discarded. Why skepticism and free thought should be embraced. You are an enemy of the people, Mark Reese... The Man Called Joopiter is coming for you.
His same expressionless face stands... Walking silently offscreen, ending the segment.
Justin Jehst vs Code Jackman
After a grueling match against Danny Watts, Joshua Tucker is met by Jim Black who proceeds with a post match interview.
Jim-Mr. Tucker I don’t want to take up too much of your time, I know you just had a tough match out there. So with that being said, how are you feeling after that match?
Tucker- Well SLIM JIM let me start real quick by saying congrats to Watts on the win out there tonight he is a tough opponent .Now, to answer your question, I am a little sore but that comes with it. Mostly I feel fired UP and ready to go!
Tucker exclaims as Jim chuckles then continues
Jim-I should have guessed that one. So let me ask you this then, after yet another loss are you starting to get down on yourself at all?
Tucker looks at Jim with a confused look before answering.
Tucker-Now why in the WORLD would you think something like that? Yes technically it was yet another loss as you stated, but to me that was a win in my book.
Jim now holds the look of confusion as Tucker continues
Tucker-What that means is I have been putting in work on my in ring ability, and tonight I feel I showed some progress. So HELL NO I’m not getting down on myself, I am just going to learn from this and keep pushing and working.
Jim-Understood. Well thank you for your time after your match. Is there anything else you would like to add for the OCW universe?
Tucker-LET’S GO!!
He shouts with no hesitation
Jim-back to you
Jim says then smiles into the camera as the scene fades
We cut to backstage, with La Estrella Fugaz and Jim Black. Estrella is fully decked out in her ring gear, complete with the graceful red cape she wears during her entrances.
Jim: Thank you for being here, Estrella.
She nods.
Estrella: Thank you.
Jim: I know it’s not your first time here, but it has been awhile, and perhaps our fans could use a refresher...
Estrella: I understand. It is regretful, but circumstances are circumstances, and I have not been as active as I wished since my signing with this company. Part of that may even be the lack of other female talent in numbers, as Ashley Blaine spoke about--but that is getting ahead of myself. I come from Mexico, where I trained first, before going to Japan. I came to OCW because of people like Ashley Blaine.
Jim: Because you wanted to fight her?
Estrella: Frankly, Jim, she is a bully. Just because she is skilled, she believes she has the right to treat other people like trash. People like that disgust me--they are the cause of so many problems in this world. There are others here, like Empress, Ashley Moore… but there have been things preventing me from challenging them. So I intend to start my mission in OCW with the former Women’s Champion.
Jim: And last week she rejected your challenge out of hand.
She nods, sighing.
Estrella: And she has the right. That, I do not like, but I can accept. I believe in my own skills, but they have not been seen much overseas--I have had only one match in this company, a victory over Evelyn Parker.
Jim: So she sent you into a match with some, er, “local talent,” that’s correct.
Estrella: Yes. We fought at a live show, in the interim.
Jim: We have some clips from that match we’d like to play, now:
The interview cuts to a hard-cam tape of the match, cutting quickly through high points of the match, ending with Estrella claiming the victory after a Celtic Cross/White Noise that she calls JUSTICE!
Jim: Quite the convincing win there, I must say.
She shrugs.
Estrella: I do not mean to sound arrogant, but my opponent was hardly out of training. If Blaine intended for me to prove that I’m not a fresh rookie, then I suppose I’ve succeeded. Now, obviously she won’t be happy with that--her arrogance will demand I become “worthy.” So whoever it is possible for me to fight, I will. Evelyn Parker, Valkyrie, Zoe Cohle, it does not matter. I cannot promise I will win, but I can promise that Ashley Blaine will realize I am ready.
She finishes her speech with a confident stare into the camera before walking off as we fade out.
