GRUDGE MATCH
DANE XAVIER vs. CORT MARSHALL
Tobin Frost stands in front of an icy backdrop reminiscent of a local promo from the early 90s.
Tobin: I’ve been gone a long time, and as I carve this new path of destruction through OCW it is only right that I give you all a little history. You know so you can as they say, “Put some respect on my name”.
Tobin: OCW Rookie of the year, which included a run as TV Champion. Don’t even thing that exists anymore, same with the Hardcore Championship won that one too.
Tobin: I was one of those guys on the hot shot track, North American Championships, winning them in battles with the likes of KD and Jacob Trance.
Tobin: Wrestlution Main events? I got one of those too Wrestlution 9 in the Bay Area.
Tobin: I was on that hot track and then I did what I wasn’t supposed to do. I put down my brother Sean McGee to win the OCW Championship. My reward for busting my ass to earn that, immediately getting Paul Pugh sent after me and losing the pinnacle of this company in 20 minutes.
Tobin: Did I crawl into a ball and hide, no I avenged my loss at Wrestlution 9 with a win at 10. The next night at Riot I joined the beat Drago club one on one. I didn’t stop the best of this generation with a roll up or in a gimmick match. I looked the Lion in the face and I put him down.
Tobin: Let this be a lesson for all you new bloods out there. That didn’t get me anything, it’s a footnote that I can look back on for sure. But it bought me nothing then and gets me nothing now.
Tobin: I’ve come back to and I’m back to what I was doing when I started. Nothing but hard work, giving my blood and sweat, while earning everyone’s respect. I guess you could say winter is coming a little early. So get read or get out of my way.
Tobin stares coldly with the camera focusing on his blue eyes as the scene fades.
Stacy Clark is standing in the interview area holding a microphone. She smiles into the camera and brings the mic closer to her face.
Stacy: Hello OCW Galaxy, I hope you are enjoying the festivities of Consequence. OCW stars are all over the building tonight, and joining me at this time is a woman who had a memorable debut against Heather Angelo on Turmoil 268, Kota Rain.
Kota Rain walks into frame, smiling and nodding respectfully to Stacy.
Stacy: Kota, what an incredible match you had in your debut, but after the match you were attacked by fellow OCW Rookie Alyssa Marceaux who hit her finishing maneuver on you, which she calls Acadiana’s Call.
Stacy: What do you have to say to Alyssa for her actions?
Kota: Well it’s easy to kick a girl when she’s down, isn’t it?
Kota: Everybody’s been asking me, how did it feel making your debut in OCW? I felt a lot of things: I felt nervous, I felt excited, and at times I even felt a little scared. But above all else, do you know what it feels like, Stacy? To be out there? To stand in that ring? *yells* TO FEEL THE ROAR OF THE CROWD?
The crowd pops in the background, bringing a smile to Kota’s face.
Kota: Of course you do, it feels amazing, doesn't it? *serious look* But all Heather Angelo and Alyssa Marceaux want to know is one thing: did I feel pain? *shakes her head* You don’t know what kind of pain I’ve felt in my life.
Kota: When I was 12 years old, I along with my parents were involved in a head on collision with a drunk driver that killed my parents on impact.
A sad/shocked look comes over the face of Stacy Clark.
Kota: I… escaped unscaved.
Kota: I scratched and I clawed and I made my way out of the wreckage. I sat in the pouring rain, watching in horror as the vehicle my parents just perished in burned to ashes.
Kota: So you want to know if I felt pain? Yeah, I did… and it felt good. It’s the pain that lets me know that I may have died inside on that fateful rainy night, but out there I’m still alive! Alyssa Marceaux, soon enough you’re gonna feel the pain… of Kota Rain!
Lotus FloJo walks into frame and stands toe to toe with Kota Rain.
FloJo: Hi there, I see that we have a match on riot. Well, that's cute. See ya there. Regardless of what happens, we'll get paid.
FloJo and Kota shake hands. FloJo walks out of frame.
Stacy: Wow… what an emotional moment we just witnessed here. Kota Rain, thank you so much for opening up here at Consequence.
Kota nods to Stacy but the soft hearted interviewer embraces her with a hug that Kota accepts.
