The Camera Pans To The Ramp!

Quartz holds his RIOT Tag Team championship proudly over his head. His sleeveless jacket bearing the "TTT" insignia on the front.

Quartz walks to the corner and grabs a microphone, tossing his championship belt over his shoulder. He paces around momentarily, taking in all of the negative crowd energy.

He raises it to speak, but lowers it again, shaking his head and pointing to the word 'IJITU' displayed in white and blue on his right glove.

Quartz: Hey.. Hey.. HEY! How have my wonderful idiots been?!

Quartz laughs to himself and gestures his hands towards the crowd, welcoming the boos.

Quartz: That's what I thought.

Quartz: Well, as you can tell.. I'm just stoked to be here. If you're wondering where Rusty is... well then so am I. I never can keep track of that rascal these days!

Quartz: No worries. I don't need by best buddy Cohle out here right now... because I am not here to talk about CQC. I am here to talk about Ijitu Quartz.

Ijitu Quartz nods arrogantly and takes aim at the OCW crowd.

Quartz: I bet you hard working degenerates are still very excited to see me after what happened on Sunday.

The crowd boos heavier at the remark.

Quartz: Oh? What's that? I don't remember hearing that when I was holding this very belt over your beloved 'patriot' dorks. Hahaha!

Quartz: Oh... and I think you all remember what happened after that, don't you.

Quartz runs a heavy, proud, smug grin across his face and repeatedly underlines the "TTT" logo on his jacket with his finger.

Quartz: Wait.. You thought I was still - Ohh boy! No! I'm so sorry, OCW universe! I didn't mean to deceive you at all! That 'ish is in the past, bub'.

Quartz sarcastically runs his thumb over his neck and sticks his tongue out, childishly mimicking a "death" gesture.

Quartz: But you know, it's been a very long time since OCW Riot got to watch the REAL Quartz. I think I owe you guys a treat.

Quartz: Because after all - Ijitu Quartz and Rust Cohle are not simply a tag-team... no, no. Ijitu Quartz and Rust Cohle are two of the best this company has to offer. Tag or no tag.

Quartz: It just so happens we decided to join forces and ruin this tag team "division". These titles belong to Trash and C.Q.C. now. Let's make that clear.

Quartz: But since that's settled.. I think it's time I re-acquaint all of you to what CQC is all about - as single dominant entities.

Quartz: That's why TONIGHT - Ijitu Quartz is going to make his official in-ring singles return. On the show that started it all. O-C-W RIOT!

The crowd pops, finding out about the could-be impromptu match.

Ijitu Quartz stops pacing in his tracks, moving the mic away from his face and sarcastically thinking.

Quartz: Nahhh, you know what? That's amateur hour. That's like, cheesy sports radio type teases. How about...

Quartz: RIGHT. NOW.

Quartz: I am issuing an OPEN CHALLENGE to anyone in the back. Anyone in the parking lot... hell, anyone in this crowd! Bring it on. Who wants to get smacked around by Trash's newest prodigy?

Quartz drops the microphone and takes off his PRISTINE SUNGLASSES and TTT jacket. He slides puts his Tag Team Championship on his jacket and slides everything out of the ring, near the announce table. He then obnoxiously gestures "bring it on" to the stage ramp and crowd.

After several anti-climatic moments of no one answering the call, the crowd excitement begins to turn to boos and Quartz picks the mic back up to shout again.

Quartz: You see this?! Hahah! No one wants a piece of Ijitu Quartz, Gah' Damm--

Before Quartz can complete his signature phrase... a VERY familiar theme hits the arena. Quartz looks startled, surprised, and unprepared. The OCW Universe pops loud at the prospect of Quartz getting what's coming to him from THIS Superstar!

It's a Match!

Just....

OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIVE HE DID IT!!!

The Clark Effect

The RIOT cameras fade in from black to see the backstage area. In the foreground we see The Last Blacksmith at his debut in a weekly OCW show.

The "Carnivore" seems rather annoyed to face up to the interview with Stacy Clark, but he knows that he couldn't refuse to do that.

Stacy: Hello, OCW Universe and welcome to the Clark effect with my guest tonight, The Last Blacksmith. Almost two months ago, you made your debut at OCW Rumblegrounds, and we all remember how that went.

Stacy: Now, you’re here for this interview after a solid victory in an OCW Live match where, probably, your opponent had the control most of the time over you. Was the match more difficult than you originally anticipated?

The Last Blacksmith retraces the moments mentioned by the journalist in his mind. TLB ponders for a moment before swallowing his pride, knowing Stacy is right.

The Last Blacksmith: You’re right.

He shakes his head momentarily before peering back up with confidence.

TLB: When i came here, I thought to be at a good level. Getting eliminated from the Rumblegrounds battle royal after only 15 seconds opened my eyes.

TLB: I still have work to do. That's why - since that moment - I figured out in my mind what I need to do. A lot of people would have quit after being tossed out by KD...

TLB: No, not me. I’ve started to train even harder, I’ve started to set goals as I have my entire life when faced with an uphill battle...

Blacksmith turns his head and places his hand on his chin, thinking about all the tragedies passed in his personal life.

TLB: Hard moments made me what I am now, and these difficulties will only forge me in the future, helping me reach the top of this federation.

Stacy: Wow! Quite an uplifting and unexpected response!

Stacy: Now… I gotta ask... The OCW Universe was shocked about the horse's head you used for your entrance. Can you explain why are you using that?

Blacksmith stares intensely the journalist and answers sternly.

TLB: I imagine the OCW Universe will continue to ask for a long time. Now is not the time to reveal it.

Stacy: Interesting! A man of mystery indeed, ladies and gentlemen. Now, you talked about goals. Can I ask you what your long term goals are here in OCW?

A slight smile appears on the face of TLB. He places his hands on his hips and responds with confidence.

TLB: My goals? As I said yet, my goal is to reach the top. I don't know how much time it will take, I don't know how I will do it... But a thing is for sure, I won't quit until i've become an icon of this federation.

TLB: Mostly, though Stacy… The Last Blacksmith won't quit until I throw down the current "kings" from their thrones, even the ones that believe themselves protected from darkness. That will be my legacy.

Stacy: Big words from a big spirit! Thank you very much for your time, TLB. I think the OCW universe caught that loud and clear! That's all folks.

Tyler Steel approaches Stacy Clark and Blacksmith stares daggers into the fellow OCW rookie. As the men walk by one another, TLB walks away, getting lost in the shadow of the backstage.

Tyler Steel stares at Stacy Clark for a moment, before mouthing (You aren't worth my time) Tyler heads to the back as the crowd boos!

The camera pans to the announce team.

That was tense!

Indeed!
