The camera pans out revealing the newly polished mahogany wood door of the OCW’s General Manager Emp. Ashley Moore is seen standing outside the door with an annoyed look displayed on her face. She knocks a few times on the door and waits for a response.
Ashley places her ear up to the door where she can hear the sound of Men talking and laughing from the opposite side of the door. She knocks on the door louder and continues to wait for a response. Ashley taps her foot on the floor in an impatient manner.
Ashley: I KNOW YOU’RE IN THERE I CAN HEAR YOU!..
Ashley opens the door slightly to try and get a peek into the Office. As the door slowly opens Ashley’s eyes start to widen as she sees a large group of men placed around the office, a few of them are seated around a table in the middle of the office gambling and smoking.
One of the Men standing beside the door grabs a hand full of Ashley’s hair, pulling her into the office and closing the door.
Ashley: What the Hell!
Suited Man: What do we have here? Looks like someone’s a little lost.
Ashley: Get your damn hands off me... Do you know who I am?
The man looks Ashley up and down and licks his lips.
Suited Man: No I don’t, but I’m sure looking like that We’ll get to know each other very well. Soon enough.
A long bang can be heard from further in the Office. Emp looks up from her drunken stupor with creases on her face from the notebook her face was resting on. She grabs a small bottle off the desk and leans back in the chair.
Emp: Ehhh..that is not how we treat guests around here. Get your damn hands off her. She's a friend of mine. Come on in Ash... Sorry about the not-so-welcoming greeting. Had some family over for a little Halloween party that got out of hand. How can I help you?
The Man in the suit lets go of Ashley but continues to stare her up and down like a piece of meat. Ashley walks over to the desk and stares at Emp as she continues to put in some eye drops.
Ashley: Why did you have me come here? Do you want to test out the new HR department with your disgu … family.
A different and way more drunk man comes up to Ashley,
Drunken Man: Everybody make some space. The strip…
Ashley kicks him with a spinning kick into a seat before he can finish his sentence.
Ashley: That’s enough, Emp. Tell them to get out or will take care of that myself.
Emp: Geez, okay fine. You’re no fun when you become such a stick in the mud.
Emp shoos the men off and invites Ashley to take a seat.
Emp: Listen, I invited you here because I’m your friend and I wanted to let you know this investigation isn’t looking good on your end. As much as I would love to help you out, you screwed up big time and my hands are tied on this one.
Emp: What were you thinking? When have you ever seen a scandal go as planned?
Ashley: Uhm … uhm … about that.
Emp: That was very stupid of you Ashley. As part of management, this behavior is unacceptable. Once things have been resolved management will decide internally on how to go forward with this. I’ll let you know termination isn’t off the table so you might want to watch your step for a while.
Emp pulls out her BFF ring and shows it to Ashley.
Emp: Always BFFs no matter what just chill out for a bit okay?
Scene opens as we pan backstage to Stace Clark for The Clark Effect
Stacy Welcome everyone to The Clark Effect, I am here with my guest Chris Baxter, or after Don’t Come To New York, should I say Davey Jones?
Baxter walks into camera view all smiles
Baxter: Stacy I’m all smiles today. At DCTNY I finally got revenge on that mutineer Viktor Karmine.
Baxter:
I gave him a wake up call about what it’s like to step up to the legends of this business and this company.
Baxter:
Viktor, I have some advice for you. Pick yourself up and come back swinging, you may have a bright future ahead of you if you do this.
Stacy: So for the first time in well over a year we saw the appearance of your alter ego “Davey Jones” someone we rarely see in OCW can you tell us what made you go to that dark place once more
Baxter smiles and just laughs
Baxter: Davey Jones is the embodiment of all my pain, my sorrow, my anger, and my drive as a competitor.
Baxter:
Where I would show mercy, Davey shows none. He would send you to the depths in the blink of an eye and smile while he does it. Davey is needed when I cannot do what must be done.
Stacy: Hopefully, Davey won't be needed for the foreseeable future. Speaking of which, What is next for “The Rated Arrr Superstar”?
Baxter: That is a good question, I have no idea where the tides will take me atm.
Baxter:
There is so much talent these days. I’m still only 35. I was first signed at 18 to OCW, which is insane that almost half my life has been dedicated to this company.
Baxter pauses and reminisces
But the tides will take me to my next destination, I don’t know where that may be yet, but it will happen
Baxter tips his hat, a rope lowers and he swings off
CHAMPION vs. CHAMPION
SHELDON TREMBLAY vs. CLAUDIO*
We find ourselves outside in an abandoned multi-story parking lot overlooking the arena. Every now and again there’s a reminder that human life extends everywhere, trash, sleeping bags, the occasional jangle of a glass bottle.
The camera pans out, the tones of Jacob Trance picked up before he comes into frame.
Trance: It’s funny how they took some of our base emotions and decided they were wrong… Dirty… Evil. Feelings to be ostracised for, to be shunned, tarred with a black mark.
Trance looks up to the sky.
Trance: Deep down they were just afraid of how powerful these emotions were, deep down they couldn’t accept that we are just animals with opposable thumbs. Since the dawn of time we’ve wanted to be so much more, to convince ourselves just how special we are…
Jacob chuckles.
Trance: It’s all our bits and pieces that make us special. Even the parts that society is oh so desperate, oh too quick to try and throw away. It’s all of this and more that fill up out vessel, in this world and across all others…
Jacob reached into his pocket and draws out five tarot cards. Turning one over each time.
Trance: Gluttony… Who doesn’t like indulging in stuffing their faces?
Another.
Trance: Lust… We all want to… Afterall.
Another.
Trance: Pride… Why shouldn’t we proud of who we are, what we can accomplish?
Another.
Trance: Envy… Very powerful… But why shouldn’t you be looked in as favourably as others, after all we’re all God's children. We are all equal? You know why they say… Some animals are born more equal than others… Ask this lady…
Trance turns the card over. Revealing none other than Lotus Flojo.
Trance: A former favourite that was promised the world only to be discarded when she fell out of favour… But through being my vessel of envy she will return to her former glory, become her true self… I welcome you Flojo. I will deliver when others have left you longing.
Another, this time it’s back to male cards.
Trance: Greed…
Trance chuckles to himself.
Trance: Ah yes, greed. It’s depicted as an incredible thing in fantasy, allowing adventurers, kings… Dragons! To amass great hoards of wealth… But when a man does it he’s evil. He’s twisted. He’s selfish.
Trance turns the card over, revealing C-Note.
Trance: Except this man opts to share his wealth with those lesser than him… You all saw how he helped Telos with cab fare after the man’s inability cost him his job. C-Note. I will shelter you from these jackals and help you add to your portfolio, thank you for your choice. I will invest in you and together we shall show the world your true value.
Jacob pulls away from the ledge, pocketing the cards before we can get a look at the three that haven’t been turned.
Trance: There are still three vessels to be revealed, three willing souls to join me, to become a family of six. To work together for the betterment of all, to show that even the so-called undesirable, worse traits belong in this world. That they belong and deserve to be celebrated as much as compassion, charity, piety, empathy and modesty. These five deserve so much more and we will work together to bring them that… Enjoy your evening, followers.
