The camera finds OWEN walking backstage to return to the dressing rooms. Viewing OWEN straight on, we see him stop, and acknowledge the presence of the man in front of him, DOC.
Doc: Take your eye off the ball, you get burned, OWEN. I told you, stay outta my business. You worry about yourself, you should’ve won tonight, big man.
OWEN: I’m not in the mood…
Doc: What do you mean, not in the mood? You don’t get to the top around here by not being in the mood, OWEN. You win or you learn, that’s mentality, something you obviously-
OWEN shakes his head and moves to cut DOC off in his comment. With a subtle shift in body posture, OWEN creates space away from Doc and lights his chest up with a vicious chop.
Doc takes a couple of steps backwards, holding his chest, not expecting to be hit by OWEN. OWEN walks on by past Doc straight to the dressing room while the camera captures Doc looking pissed off before fading into the next segment.
The scene opens with DOC standing next to Jim Black, full of piss and vinegar, showing the visible red mark on his tattooed chest behind the vest he is wearing from the unexpected chop delivered by OWEN after his match against Marcus McMichaels earlier in the night.
Jim Black: Turmoil 283 rolls on and I am here with the Kang of OCW, DOC. Some hit you’ve taken there, pal, how are you feeling-
DOC grabs the mic from Jim before he is able to finish his sentence, staring directly into the camera as he delivers his chosen words.
DOC: I told you to stay out of my business, OWEN. I warned you multiple times.
DOC:
I told you to stay in your lane and I’ll see you at Summercide, but you just couldn’t help yourself, bruv, could you?
DOC:
I wanted to see if you had what it takes to be a star in this company, if you had the focus and desire to beat me when the lights were brighter than you’ve ever had to deal with in your life.
DOC:
But you’re falling apart, mate. Cheap shots???
DOC:
Come on, bro, you’re better than that. And now I’m pissed. I was excited to face you at Summercide OWEN, but now I can’t wait to kick your ass.
DOC: As a matter of fact, next week, how about me and you stand face to face!
DOC:
I’ll let you hit me with your best shot, and then I’ll hit you with mine!
DOC:
And we’ll keep doing that, until one of us can’t stand it anymore, and then we’ll see who’s really got the mentality around here, won’t we?
DOC:
You dun kno.
DOC drops the mic and storms off, ending the interview.
