OCWFED.com Presents Riot

Nate Ortiz walks on to the entrance ramp with the OCW Championship on his shoulder. He wavers and panders to the crowd a little before addressing them with the mic he has in his hand.

Nate:
It is great to see you all tonight but I need to get something off my chest. I need to address Drago and what happened on Turmoil. I am an honest man and when I make a mistake I can own up to it, so Drago I’m sorry. As I told our little friend earlier I saw Tiffany on the ground and I saw red.

Nate paces as he continues.

Nate:
That being said I hope you take that as a warning. My family gets hurt and I react accordingly. You’ve already driven a wedge into Revolution Inc. You’ve separated my work family. At Wrestlution we are going to settle our differences inside that ring.

Nate: You have it in your head that the Revolution, that I have lost my way. I won’t lie the past few months haven’t been the greatest. Hell I wasn’t cleared to get back in the ring until this week. But I haven’t changed, Revolution Inc. hasn’t changed. I mean I’ve heard that you either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain. But that’s usually from the people who are jealous of your successes. That doesn’t come from inside. We spent months on the wrong in of some serious beatings. Hell has Dennis ever really gotten to celebrate one of his numerous big show victories? We kept our heads down and handled this in the ring but outside of the ring we were hurting.

Nate: So many of us have taken things into our own hands and look at the results. Where is the Purge really? Where is the SKWAD? We handled that. We do what we have to do for the greater good and look at us now. At the top of the mountain that I helped raise up.

Nate: But it hurts and perplexes me at the same time that you can’t be happy with that. That you couldn’t let me hand over the keys to our future. You’ve had to question me and what this belt means to me.

Nate: It may be 12 years since I won this for the first time, but I’m still the same guy I was then. Not the guy that walked into Summercide against Dupree, or last year’s Wrestlution with Pugh. I’m not the Nate Ortiz who doubted himself. That guy is still sitting in the ring watching Paul Pugh celebrate at Wrestlution 10. You’re dealing with the man who’s taken those loses and turned them in to a burning desire to be the man who unified this belt twice. I’ve been tossed from great heights, been through fire, and had my heart broken for this belt and all the comes with it.

Nate points to the scare on his eye.

Nate:
Scars like this one man. Scars like this have all been worth it. At Wrestlution I expect to have few more. But, you are going to learn just like everyone else. You’ll see it all in the ring and learn that I am who I am for a reason…

Nate puts his mic down to conclude his speech. He starts to make his way through the ropes when he's interrupted by Drago arriving at the ramp, mic in hand. He makes his way down the ramp and slides in the ring. He wastes no time getting down to business.

Drago:
What happen at Turmoil was understandable. You seen Tiffany in danger and I was only one there. I try to protect her but sometimes things don't work out that way. So I have no issue with you on this.

The crowd claps a bit in approval but starts heating up when Drago says his next words.

Drago:
But......I'm still can't understand that you not see things my way with that championship. What you try to do with that title is inexcusable. How many people have fight for OCW World Heavyweight Championship? Dozens, maybe more than hundred at this point. You would be spitting on everyone who fight tooth and nail for it by just handing it over to someone. We have always done things Old Country Way. That is, if you wanted the gold that was around a man's waist, you fight for it!

Drago throws his hands up.

Drago:
Oh, but is ok to give that World Heavyweight Championship to Dennis, right? I mean, he win World and TV titles in Turmoil, so why not give him this one right?

Drago holds up his index finger.

Drago:
I'm have even better idea! Why stop at both Turmoil and Riot world titles? Let's go extra mile. Matsuda should just hand his EX Championship over to Dennis, no match needed! Oh, but why stop there? Let's have your student hand over North American Championship to him too, because who gives a damn about the legacy of that title as well, am I right?

Drago laughs, but the anger in his eyes is telling.

Drago:
Let's hand Dennis every title and close this place down. Who even need title when we have him, am I right?

Nate picks his mic back up.

Nate:
Need I remind you that the last time you held this championship, you couldn't even defend it? You know, not everybody can handle being the man. There's no shame in being a solid B+ player, Drago.

The crowd is starting to get nuclear at this point as Drago scratches his head.

Drago:
......I'd rather be B+ player than be kissass.

Nate is staring down Drago as the crowd is going nuts.

Drago:
At Wrestlution, I'm gonna show you what it mean to be a champion. I'm gonna show you what it mean to have HONOR, come Hell or high water.

Drago tosses the mic over his shoulder as both men stare each other down. The crowd is split between Drago and Nate. They say some things to each other that are indiscernible before Nate raises his championship up high. Drago nods as we fade to black.
