The scene opens with Antonio Everrett sat alone, backstage, clutching his OCW Light Heavyweight Championship tight in a darkened locker room, only a thin sliver of light from the slightly ajar door at the end of the room. After a moment, the thin sliver expands into a harsh light, and the silhouette of Doc Green appears, shrouding Everrett in darkness.
Doc: The fuck are you doing here? Sat all alone, moping about your sorrows.
Everrett: I can’t lose tonight, I can’t. This title means too much to me. I can’t lose it, I can’t-
Doc: What are you on about? Get a grip, this is why you’re weak. THE Light Heavyweight Champion of the World, and yet you’re still miserable. Maybe losing that title would do you some good, because then you could follow my lead and this time, we’ll be champions again.
Everrett looks up at Doc and scowls.
Everrett: I’m not going to lose my title, that’s not what we talked about. We have unfinished business. I retain my title, then we go and win the Tag Team titles. Then everything comes full circle, complete finally. The one thing we’ve never been able to do.
Doc: Just as it should be, provided you don’t fuck it up for the both of us again.
Everrett: I know, I know. What do think this has all been about? But I guess that’s the difference between us, I always make amends. You just hide away and cower from your failure.
Doc: Don’t you dare lecture me about failure! You should be pleased I even gave you the chance to make amends for the Uncrowned. Make no mistake, we are no different to each other.
Everrett: This may have been your idea but I am the key to this whole operation. I am the Champion here. I didn’t bottle it after The Clash, YOU did. Everything that we’re going to accomplish is going to be possible because of ME. So don’t you ever try to claim that we are the same! But that’s why we work so well, because you’re the only person I can think of that’s even crazier than myself. We are opposites but we are stronger together.
Doc smirks slyly and exits the room, leaving Everrett alone again.
We return to the trainers area where we see Wrex sitting on a medic table getting his arm-wrap applied by the doctor. He winces as the doctor tightens it up with a final tug.
Doc: There ya go. Now, I still don’t think this is a smart idea, and I know I’m wasting breath so just don’t do anything stupid out there tonight, protect your shoulder.
Wrex: I’ll be fine, Asshole.
The doctor smirks and shakes his head, knowing he’d get that kind of response from the Mayor of Scumchester.
Doc: Well, you do what you want, but I don’t wanna see you back here later on--
???: --After I’m done with him, he just might be.
The camera pans across to see Justin Jehst walk in, chewing his gum, smiling and joking, with Cort Marshall right behind him.
Wrex: Look who it is; the biggest fuck-ups to ever come out of the USA, and that’s a big list.
Wrex: Even with a broken shoulder I’ll put you down, just like last time. Let’s see if you can make it five minutes with me today, huh rookie?
Jehst lets out a little chuckle.
Jehst: I’m leaps and bounds from that bright-lights and big dreams rookie version of myself. I went to toe with the GTGOAT and almost beat him. I’ve grown, I’ve developed, I’ve gotten better - and I’ll keep doing that until me and these American Muscle’s *BICEP POSE* reach the top.
Wrex dismissively shakes his head as he hops off the bed and begins to put his t-shirt back on.
Wrex: Yeah I’m sure losing to Ortiz is an accomplishment to tell your Grandkids. Elsa must be so proud.
He accompanies that with a smile, knowing that would probably strike a nerve.
Wrex So what do you want anyway? Just trying to get in my head before I crush yours under my boot?
Jehst: We’re just here to get Cort’s monthly prescription of Metamucil.
Cort: My digestive track is NOT working.
Jehst: It’s why he keeps getting these rashes - show him.
As Cort lifts his arm, there is a splotchy rash on his bicep. Wrex curls his face up.
Wrex: ..Yeah you need to get that checked out. Anyway, I’m out. Make sure you stretch your neck tonight Jehsty, helps with the whole “there’s a boot crushing down on my neck” thing. See you soon.
Cort watches him go, slipping him a surreptitious bird as he does.
As Wrex collects his duffel bag with his one good shoulder and walks out of frame, the doctor comes back in with a small box.
Doc: Mr. Marshall - here you go.
Cort takes the box. Jehst peeks inside and a look of surprise comes across his face.
Jehst: 12 tubes?! For a month?!
Cort looks at him nonchalantly and shrugs.
Cort: A man’s gotta turd.
As Cort reaches in to grab a canister of the fibre-heavy supplement, an envelope becomes visible. He pulls it out and examines the front side.
Cort: Ah… not taxes. Not court summons… I think it’s for you.
Jehst takes it and rips the top off.
Jehst: Let’s get this prank over with…
He unfolds the letter inside.
Jehst:
Hey there, Justin. Me again. You know what I said on Saturday. I'm going to expose you as the fraud we all know you are.
I saw the show on Saturday. I saw your tag team partner fail. I'm sure that was a huge disappointment to all of your fans.
I'll be watching tonight too. I'll be watching as you fail against Wrex... Then again, I'm sure your fans are used to it at this point.
I don't know why the people continue to follow you, but I can see clearly. My mind is not clouded anymore. I'll be there soon to expose everything.
This is bigger than you. There is a new kind of storm coming to OCW.
Unfortunately, You're at the top of my list.
See you soon.
Jehst: I don’t need this distraction right now, I’m going up against Wrex tonight -- dammit!
He crumples the paper up and throws it on the ground.
Cort: Well, at least they didn’t say they were taking OCW to new hights?
Jehst looks at him, annoyed. Cort gives a sheepish smile, trying to bring levity to the situation.
Jehst: Let’s just get out of here, I gotta get changed...
The scene fades out to the next part of the show as Hollywood USA leave the doctor’s office.
FATAL 4 WAY
#1 CONTENDER WOMEN'S TITLE BLAINE vs. DEBBIE D. vs.
ZOE COHLE vs. LOTUS FLOJO
The cameras pan up as we see a bunch of OCW Wrestlers in the catering area. As the camera is moving we spot El Parca, Parca wearing both the OCW International Championship, and one of the OCW Undisputed Tag Team Championships around his waist. Parca is seen to be holding four plates of food covered with tinfoil as he turns around to go to the Lucha Country locker room as he sees #Austin Lee.
Parca, taking one hand off the four ginormous plates of food, presumably for his very hungry, very slam happy friend Mark Reese he waves to Lee and says..
Parca: Lee! How ya doing pal?
#Austin: They finally got my email about hiring waiters.
#Austin: Is my lucky day for sure, first I get cleared to returned now a delivery service. Hell he even got me four plates.
Parca looks at Lee a little confused
Parca: Uh.. are you talking in the third person right now? Parca takes a step back as he tightens his grip on the plates of food. Also, these aren’t for you, sorry but they are for Reese as he’s hungry in our locker room. And you do know I’m not a waiter right? I’m El Parca.. Y’know International Champion & one half Tag Team Champions?
#Austin: El Parca? double champ boi? thats on me.
#Austin does his best to pay his respects to the new double champ making sure to not spill Reese's food.
#Austin: Been stuck back in a box since Wrestlution so still adjusting to life on the outside of quarantine again. Everyone looks the same to me these days.
#Austin: But hey it beats where i was at champ. Which reminds me….
#Austin Lee pulls out a bottle of hand sanitizer and applies a generous amount to his hand. Making sure his hands are 99% germ free before apply his own mask
#Austin's eyes slowly slide off the plates of food towards the International Title of El Parca
#Austin: Surviving a quarantine a second time definitely opened my eyes on what I have been missing from my career.
#Austin: You standing there both shoulders full of gold and both hands full of food. Something I truly miss.
Parca looks like he’s raising an eyebrow toward Lee.
Parca: You miss what pal? Good food? Look around us! It’s Riot Ultra they brought the best catering in town! I was just quickly grabbing some things for me and Reese before our training session.
#Austin: Trust me Parca one thing I never miss is food.
#Austin reaches out and pokes El Parca International Title.
#Austin: Hell even if its for fun and games a shot at that plus a chance to face you would be worth me surviving quarantine again.
Parca nervously chuckles.
Parca: Oh my.. Lee you’ve done it all and have been there done that. You are a sure shot Hall of Famer when the time comes.
The Lucha Country theme song plays as that, and a loud vibration can be heard coming from Parca’s pocket. As he takes one hand off the plates to check his phone he quickly puts it back into his pocket.
Parca: Oi, sorry amigo that’s Reese! I gotta get back to our locker room as he tends to get a bit fiesta when he’s hungry. Good talking to you Lee!
#Austin: Means alot to me, thats on me for how this started off Parca. You handle your business i will make it up to you.
Parca then holding all four plates walks past #Austin Lee making his way toward the Lucha Country locker room.
As Parca approaches the Lucha Country locker room he can hear the, “Hardcore Country” karaoke version he & Reese sang at the bar. As he opens the door we see “Big Country” Mark Reese squatting with what seems to be two small crotch rocket motorcycles.
Parca turns the music down a bit as he takes one hand off the plates motioning towards Mark.
Parca: Hey big guy! I got some grub some on and eat!
Parca carefully sets down the four plates of food on a nearby table as he sits down as well. Placing both, his International Title & his Tag Title on the table as well.
Reese: Can I ask you a question buddy?
Reese picks at his plate, obviously caught up on something. Parca nods and the big man takes an equally big breath.
Reese: So I was wonderin’... I was readin’ online about some stuff and I couldn’t help gettin’ to thinkin’... Did you mean to hit Ted?
Parca drops his knife as if he knew this was coming all along.
Parca lets out a big sigh as he looks Mark right in the eyes.
Parca: No. I didn't mean to hit Ted, I was aiming for Baker but I miscalculated and hit poor Ted. I’d never wanna cheat or lay my hands on an official for any reason.
Reese looks appeased for the most part but still a little down. He takes a bite of a massive turkey leg, practically swallowing without chewing.
Reese: So next… Will I get to slam the bug man? Who is it? I managed to pin Harvey twice, maybe they’ll let me go for one of those soccer three kicks.
Parca: It’s called a hat-trick Mark.
Reese laughs at this own mistake.
Reese: Gosh darn it, my bad.
Parca: You can slam whoever you want next really. We are the champs don’t forget! There’s plenty of competition for us to fight and for you to slam.. OH! I have something for you.
Parca jumps out of his seat as he goes to a mini fridge in the corner of the room. He opens the fridge, and takes out a big container that’s covered with a plastic top.
As Parca makes his way back to the table he sets it down and, looks at Reese as his is about to take the top off.
Parca: I get this for you as a thank you for being such a good friend, and an amazing tag team partner!
He takes the top off as we see a big chocolate cake one resembling that from Matilda. On top of the cake it says “Lucha Country Forever.”
Parca: Dig in all you want big guy! I’ll be able to share some with you tonight hopefully after I retain the International Championship!
The cameras back up as Parca and Reese talk and laugh with one another as the cameras fade to black.
