OCWFED.com Presents Riot

The Riot crowd is electric and amped for this ultra edition of their favorite show. The audience starts to calm down, but before their butts can reach the seats, the lights dim, and “Rapture” blares through the speaker system.

The legend, the G.O.A.T himself, Nate Ortiz, walks out onto the ramp, performing his signature entrance, as the crowd goes wild. Sparkling blue glasses, fancy shirt and tie, and a battle wound from the end of Consequence; Nate marches down the ramp, and makes a b-line to the ring.

He walks up the steps, as the crowd continues to cheer him on. They haven’t stopped for the greater than the G.O.A.T, Nate Ortiz. Nate presses his tie against himself and gets into the ring. The man walks to the center of the ring to continue soaking in the audience’s adulation.

“You still got it!”, shout the adoring crowd, as Nate stands there with a smirk that says, “you’re Goddamn right I do.” Nate looks over to the timekeeper’s area and motions for a microphone to speak to the electric audience.

With the microphone in hand, the crowd begins to cool their jets, to listen to what Mr. OCW has to say about Consequence.

Nate: I said it Sunday andI’ll say it again; I’m the man who can’t be destroyed. No matter what they do I keep coming back.

The crowd eats it up, as Nate continues.

Nate:
The man that attacked me at Consequence, Aries...he’s no different.

A small section of boo’s can be heard, but not enough to drown out the love for Nate.

Nate: History lesson for the kids in the back that don’t know any better. From OCW’s beginning I have been the guy. Our Hero’s Hero. The guy who puts this place on its back when all else fails. But there was a time where I stepped away, to start a family of my own…

Nate: ...in walks Aries to be that guy to take my place. He was well on his way to doing that. We clashed at Wrestlelution 7 and I came out on top. It was almost like from that moment his trajectory changed.

Nate: The man went from the next me, to a step below Smythe DaWonder. Legend yes, but come on. He took his name and dragged it through the mud himself.

Nate: Coming and going, making grandiose promises only to sputter out after a few weeks. In the dictionary when you look up the word “flake” it’s his face that pops up, even as recently as LAST YEAR.

Nate:
As COO I get all the “dirt sheet” information. I know for a fact that before he took his ball and went home claiming “disrespect” that he would have been highlighted at Wrestlution 13. But instead a certain GM had to hang up his suit and lace up his boots once again.

Nate: Now the flake is back to avenge his loss, to grab the glory that he threw away himself. I stand here in the center of the ring, I’ll wait as long as it takes. He can come out here and say what he needs to before I give him everything he gave me at Consequence ten fold. I am absolutely tired of…

Before Nate can continue his harsh sentiment, the crowd begins to boo. Ortiz stops speaking, a little confused as to what’s happening, but he can guess the tomfoolery that’s probably afoot. No music is playing, but Nate glances around the crowd to finally see what the fuss is about. Aries is in the crowd. He’s walking down through the audience, sneering and passing them. Almost as if he’s looking down on anyone in his way.

Aries makes it to the barricade, but stops. Clearly, he doesn’t want to get anywhere near the volatile Nate Ortiz, especially after what he did at Consequence. Nate starts to undo his tie. He rips it off of his neck, and tosses it into the crowd. He unbuttons his sleeves and rolls them up, preparing for a fight. Aries pulls a microphone out of his leather vest, and begins to speak, but not before the crowd tell him what they think in a very vulgar fashion.

Letting the crowd calm down a bit, he stands there simply staring at the man in the ring.

Aries: Nine years…

Aries: Nine years, Nate…

Aries begin to shake with anger.

Aries: NINE LONG YEARS, NATE! It’s been nine years since this nightmare started. My star went from a bright, golden yellow...to a muddy brown. Nine years…

Aries: ...and it’s funny! Everything you said...it’s completely accurate. It’s all one-hundred percent truth. I can’t rebuttal. I can’t deny anything that you’ve said, except for one thing. One thing that just makes me burn inside. I never wanted to be the next you, Nate. I never wanted to walk in your shoes. I wanted to walk in my own. I wanted to be the first Aries, NOT the next Nate Ortiz.

Aries: You stand there and have the utter NERVE to talk about me, to talk about Smythe. That man may have been deluded and a legend in his own mind, but he said one thing to me that I’ll never forget, Nate.

The crowd began a little sing-a-long of “Flashing Lights” in remembrance of Smythe DaWonder.

Aries: The night of our match, Smythe pulled me aside and said, “Aries, I’m disappointed in you. I expected so much more from the best match you’ll ever have. Why didn’t you just go psycho on him?!” Funnily enough, after that night, his words stuck to me. I couldn’t get them out of my head. I couldn’t get that entire NIGHT out of my head. It was supposed to be my final, crowning achievement. The last thing I wanted to do in OCW. Have a match with the greatest of all time in the prime of my life.

Nate stands in the ring, not saying a word. He doesn’t need to say anything. Just let the madman rant.

Aries: Instead, all I got was a lazy, half-assed match with a shell of a man who couldn’t even lace Nate Ortiz’s boots.

At that moment, a nerve seems to have been struck. Nate removes the blue glasses, revealing a very visible scowl.

Aries: Yeah, that’s right. You couldn’t be arsed giving me the match that I wanted, just like you couldn’t be arsed with anyone else in this company. Paul Pugh, Tiberius Dupree, and even my dear friend Jacob Trance. Nate is all about Nate, and as long as The Franchize looks good, who cares about the rest? You’ve fought so many greats, but can they really call you great, Nate?

Nate’s had enough. He tosses aside his microphone, and ducks under the bottom rope. He makes a quick sprint towards Aries, but Aries is already lightly jogging up the stairs he came down.

Aries: HOLD IT! HOLD ON! Don’t you come any closer, G.O.A.T. You want a fight? You want to return the favor from Consequence? Well it’s not going to be tonight. Not in this city. Not in front of this crowd.

The crowd boo, as they absolutely want to see Mr. OCW beat the living hell out of “the flake”.

Aries: Nate, you had me at hello. All you had to do was ask, but this won’t be a fight, Nate. This won’t be a wrestling match. This is going to be a war. My contract expires at midnight, on the night of Summercide. If you want to taste sweet revenge, Nate, then I’ll see you then...in an unsanctioned street fight, because I don’t want to be held responsible for the things I’m going to do to you, G.O.A.T...

Aries tosses his microphone, as Nate stands at the barricade, looking at the man who attacked him at Consequence. Nate mouths the words “you got it”, as the crowd begin to chant “f*** him up G.O.A.T, f*** him up!”
