Backstage at OCW Riot. The camera follows DEVON FLASH, storming through the hallways with a black eye. He’s visibly angry, shoving doors open and stopping random crew members and wrestlers as he searches for someone.
DEVON FLASH: Where is he? Where’s C-Note? Someone better tell me right now!
He grabs a nearby production assistant by the shoulder, who shakes their head nervously and scurries away. Devon continues down the corridor, his frustration mounting.
Suddenly, he spots NATE ORTIZ, the International Champion and GTGOAT, leaning casually against a locker. His championship belt gleams on his shoulder as he scrolls on his phone.
DEVON FLASH: Ortiz! I was hoping when I found you, we could talk title shot opportunities, but that can wait. You seen C-Note? I’ve got a score to settle with him after what he pulled last week!
Ortiz glances up, smirking as his eyes land on Devon’s black eye. He chuckles to himself before responding.
NATE ORTIZ: (laughing) That? Oh, you mean this masterpiece on your face? Looks like C-Note gave you exactly what you deserved for all that big talk last week.
Devon steps closer, his fists clenched.
DEVON FLASH: Yeah, laugh it up now. But let me tell you something, Nate—when I’m done with C-Note, if you’re still holding that International Title, you’re first on my list. You’re looking at the future of this business, and you’re gonna get rolled over on my way to glory.
Ortiz raises an eyebrow, the smirk never leaving his face as he slides his phone in his pocket. He steps forward, looking Devon up and down.
NATE ORTIZ:(mocking) Let me tell you something, kid. I’ve been here for 20 years, and I’ve seen your type a million times—big mouth, big ego, and nothing to show for it. I'm probably going to be here another 20 years while you end up as a good what-if story.
Devon starts to respond, but Ortiz cuts him off, pointing a finger directly at him.
NATE ORTIZ: You wanna be great? Stop talking about it and prove it. Get in that ring, earn your stripes, and then maybe—maybe—you’ll be worthy of stepping in with someone like me. C-Note's already looking like too much for you.
Ortiz brushes past Devon, intentionally bumping his shoulder. He pauses briefly, glancing back over his shoulder.
NATE ORTIZ: Step aside before you end up with a matching black eye.
Ortiz walks away confidently, leaving Devon standing there, seething with anger and frustration as the camera zooms in on his furious expression. The scene fades to black.
We enter the backstage area and see Joe Deaver and Petie Wheat-Straw preparing for their match against Damian Bourne and The Mantis
Deaver: Honestly I could ignore one week of Bourne talking his shit. He won, decidedly so. However, multiple weeks of slandering America and Wilkes-Barre? That's uncalled for. Petie, there's a reason Canadians are jealous of America. Do you know what that is?
Petie: I mean I can assume it's because we whoop ass in the Olympics, right?
Deaver: Close, my Texas-Sized wrecking machine. It's because they don't have that unbridled sense of Patriotism that we've taken for granted our whole lives.
Deaver: But enough of how great our country is compared to his. We have a match to win and I know how to do it.
Petie: How Boss? You just lost to Bourne…It's not like it was clos-
Deaver: cuts him off Petie, you have a lot to learn. I didn't just merely take a loss at the hands of Damian, I learned things, I learned that he can still go after this time away. I learned how he moves and how he operates. How he thinks and now I will be able to play chess while he is sitting there playing checkers.
Petie: Alright, I look forward to watching you work. And leave me to deal with The Mantis. He’s a bug, but I’ll be the 18 wheeler going 80 up highway 45.
Deaver Yeesh, that's a little harsh.
Petie: Sorry, ya'see my mind has been elsewhere with Temple Of Omen. I may need help with them if you're up for it, a lil Hoss n Boss action.
Deaver: I have a feeling that I'm going to be busy with Damian but, whatever you need, I'll be there. There's a reason you guys trust me and I'm still not one hundred percent sure what it is, but I'm going to use that trust and use it as a way to propel me into helping you all in every facet.
Deaver: I've helped Gabriel with John so far and he's got him at Ambition One Hundred. I'll help Eddie with whatever he needs, just like I'll help you with Temple Of Omen.
