After the disrespect shown by Nate Ortiz, Dupree calls for a microphone. Exhausted he rests on his award-winning knees in the center of the ring.
The crowd is still unbelievably amped after such a contest from 2 of OCW’s greatest performers. They start to chant “YOU STILL GOT IT”, twice in one-night Tibby shows humility and mouths a thank you.
Dupree: (Sigh)….Nate…Nate…Nate…(Sigh)
The crowd mimics him with a over exaggerated sigh of their own.
Dupree: Last time you guys saw me I was packing my bags and walking out the door. Many of you thought that was it for me, that The Betterness had retired and went onto another timeline.
Dupree: Well that was the plan, to just fade away and leave OCW for the younger and more ambitious talent here as is the cycle of life. But then….then I heard about how Nate supposedly took my Summer… took my smile….
He wipes an imaginary tear from his eye as the camera pans in for the closeup of the most beautiful man in wrestling history.
Dupree:That is so far from the FACTS that it sickened me, I absolutely had to show up at 500 to prove him and everyone else that I will always own the summer, that my smile is Always and Forever mine. Those are the FACTS.
“FACS” chants start then fade.
Dupree: I know how Nate thinks, I know what drives him, I know what he was going to do on one of the greatest nights in OCW history. He was going to try to bury me!
Dupree: He was going to come out here and challenge me and when I didn’t appear, I would be deemed a coward. That he held 2 victories to my one and was the absolute undeniable pinnacle of success in OCW.
Dupree: So I packed my bags one more time, but this time I was walking back into Riot. Walking back in here to take his Riot 500 and to bury the hatchet between us once and for all.
Tibby gets to his feet slowly and looks into the hard camera.
Dupree: That is why I just offered you my hand, my humility Nate, something I never EVER do. Instead of reacting like the gentleman and standard of goodness you are so proudly known for…you pull a scumbag move.
Dupree: More scumbaggish than the neanderthal you’re facing at this year’s Wrestlution. But that’s okay old man because we’re not done, not until one of us is truly buried.
Dupree: So whether it be Riot 600 or Wrestlution 15 or Summercide 10, I will see you again…I will break you again…I will prove that there is someone Better than Nate Ortiz!
The camera fades with the Riot 500 logo dominating the screen.
