The camera pans over to Wrex, his first time willing to come on camera since the failure of a cash in at turmoil 200.
Wrex The actual show this time, not some gloried pre-show.
He sits there in what looks like cobbled together wrestling gear as the time draws closer.
Wrex My second attempt on our grandest stage, in Turmoil’s main event.
The slowly drawing time of the biggest match of his life, with an almost too familiar line up
Wrex Round two right Austin? Right Jacob? Right.. B-17?
Three of the four men that faced off one year ago, and the one who lost his chance. Fighting for the prize instead of its golden ticket.
Wrex It's funny, three men relegated to the B show last year. Are the ones one match away from closing the whole damn thing.
Wrex looks directly into the camera before continuing on with his monologue.
Wrex Austin Lee, the one who walked away with the prize, B-17, the one who prized his pride over anything and it lost him everything, Jacob Trance, the one who wormed his way in and nearly took it. And me, the one who was forced to lie in the rubble and watch his moment slip away.
He gets up from the bench, grabbing his jacket and mask, a little more tattered and a little more bruised, time will do that.
Wrex It'll a different result this time, I'm not letting my moment be taken from me by you again.. this is my time now, and I'm taking it, this isn’t just about the money anymore.
"You really think you can?" A voice bounces through the room. "Will this really be different than every other attempt?"
Wrex It has to be, I've pushed myself into a corner, I'm in my element. If I can’t do it here. Then where can I Jim?
The camera back up to bring Black into frame, his mic in hand.
Jim Black Maybe you just aren’t meant for the biggest stage, for the brightest lights. Maybe you just can't do it.
Tightening his grip, and letting the rising anger boil, he looks to the man. The man who's been his biggest critic, and biggest punching bag since the day he walked in.
Wrex I can, I've made it this far. Two years of scratching, clawing, pushing. Just one more push, one final push till it's all mine. This is my moment now, I can't let them take it from me again, I won't let them take it from me again.
Jim Then prove it, do what you couldn't at 200, at Black Sunday, at Chill Faktor. Do what you couldn't do at Lution. Win it. Win it for them.
Hearing the match announcements, knowing how close the grand finale is, Wrex collects his things and makes his way to the door.
Wrex ...Thanks Jim, I needed that.
Jim This mean I can stop watching my own back now?
Wrex No promises.
